Kolossi
I bade my first host good-bye when he dropped me at the bus stop, which happened to be across the street from his church. I boarded the bus to Limassol, which is about 70km away. There was a foot race of some sort in downtown Limassol next to the shore, so the bus stops were altered - however, not very well publicized. I wandered around for a little bit with my backpack and daypack and eventually found a stop for the bus I needed. I arrived at my second hosts' house around 1pm. One of the hosts is a high school computer science teacher. I have great wifi here. I'm staying in a separate, detached apartment that they have. There's a private bath, oven/stove, small fridge, a coffee machine, and a tea kettle - in addition to the double bed, closet, and cookware and staples. They invited me to join them for lunch and we talked for about two hours about education and life in Cyprus.
After that I went exploring some more. Nearby is the town of Kolossi with its medieval castle. The castle reminds me of Hackett Castle in Ireland.
This structure and wall were near the castle.
I passed several churches from various periods on my walk to the castle.

Thanks for posting. I like seeing all the old architecture.

There are plenty of old buildings here - of course, the oldest are just foundations, but it's good for imagining what rested on them.
